The Management Team

Kerstin Ward

Kerstin is also a director of her family property business and through this has developed a wealth of knowledge in the property industry.  Kerstin has studied residential leasehold management.

Having lived in the city centre for over 10 years Kerstin became concerned by the way some blocks of apartments are managed, understanding first hand the difficulties that high service charges can bring, particularly for investors.

Through her role at Action Property Management Kerstin is keen to ensure that services charges are used efficiently and that value for money is obtained for all leaseholders.

Away from work Kerstin enjoys spending time with her family and is a keen runner.

Matt Ward

Matt studied Housing as part of his degree at Leeds Metropolitan University. He was appointed Chair of No. 1. Dock Street Management Company following the handover of the development from Wilson Connolly in 2005. Following his appointment Matt ensured that No. 1. Dock Street became and remains one of the best developments to live in the city.

Through his involvement as a Director of No. 1. Dock Street Matt developed an active interest in the residential block property management market which led to the set up of Action Property Management in 2008.  As a qualified Town Planner, Matt continues to be concerned at the way some developments in Leeds City Centre are managed.  Matt believes that many developments have little sense of community, that many service charges are often unnecessarily high and the quality of service provided is to both owners and residents is often poor.

Through Action Property Management, Matt seeks to ensure service charges are value for money and to inject a community feel into city living.

Away from work Matt also enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys spending time at the gym / mountaineering and travelling.  Matt also has a keen interest in music and transport having previously worked in a senior role managing the transport planning team for City of York Council and more recently as Project Officer at Kirklees Council where he led a successful Levelling Up Fund bid for £47.9m.
